Enjoy a Chill Evening of Emo-Influenced Rock Hits at the Grand Stafford Theatre
Looking for a low-key evening of indie rock tunes? Look no further than the Grand Stafford Theater, which welcomes Corusco, HIGHDIVE, and Wartime Afternoon to the stage on Thursday, August 9th. Enjoy an interesting mix of alternative rock from these three touring bands right here in Bryan.
Corusco combines a tasteful amalgamation of indie rock, folk, and emo with a matured, aggressive edge. Their live performance dithers between ‘punch-you-in-the-gut’ rock and delicate, intimate moments of vulnerability. The emotional tug heard in Corusco’s music seems appropriate for a band that takes its name from a Latin word meaning “the inner battle between happiness and sorrow.”
Joining Corusco is HIGHDIVE, an emo-influenced rock band whose influences include John Mayer, Mayday Parade, and The Starting Line. Wartime Afternoon, the final group on the bill for this Thursday show, was formed in Bryan and engages audiences with their “sunshine-rock” tunes.
