Take Part in a Uniquely Japanese Tradition During the Floating Lantern Festival

Join Aggieland Safari on October 5th, where you can watch as over 1,000 beautiful flickering lanterns fill our lake with light during our Floating Lantern Festival!

Inspired by the Japanese Festival, Toro Nagashi, where families come together to guide departed loved-ones to the spirit world by releasing candle-lit lanterns to the sea, the Floating Lantern Festival is an enchanting evening filled with memories you won't soon forget, as the sun sets on the Safari lands!

Come together with family, friends, and strangers alike to decorate your own floating lantern.
Celebrate the evening with live entertainment and festival treats, as you relax lakeside and watch as brilliant golden candlelight illuminates the water. Festival activities include animal experience like Giraffe, Bird, and Tortoise Feeding, in addition, Camel Rides. Animal experiences cost extra.

The venue, Aggieland Safari is an organization born from a love of animal stewardship and dedication to conservation. The park offers over 450 acres of family-friendly, educational, and conservation-based opportunities to interact with over 100 species of wildlife, including several extinct-in-the-wild species and more than 20 endangered species!

For this event, admission starts at $35. For more information, visit www.aggielandsafari.com.
